Fresh Nature is a Seed to Serve family owned Agriculture Company based in the Pacific Northwest that specializes in growing sustainable chickpeas and harvesting them young while they are naturally green and at their peak of flavor and nutrition. Once picked, green chickpeas are immediately washed, blanched and flash frozen, locking in that fresh picked goodness. Naturally green, perfectly sweet with a buttery texture and nutty crunch; simply a better tasting chickpea! Our mission at Fresh Nature is to produce safe food using earth-friendly and sustainable methods. We introduced chickpeas to our crop rotation for this very reason. Chickpeas positively improve soil health, require less water conserving this valuable natural resource, as well as build the soil back up, which is commonly left depleted after other crops. They also reduce our carbon footprint as they require no commercial fertilizers or insecticides, which means less fossil fuels required to apply these chemicals.
