Grown here, made here, loved here. We use a special variety of chickpea that is extra creamy and grown by farmers in Washington.

Through trials and tribulations and lots of love from family and friends (our taste testers), we discovered the perfect combination of high quality, healthy ingredients that make the perfect hummus. The creation of Haden’s Aquafaba followed soon after, and we are thrilled to offer a 100% vegan and egg-allergy safe alternative to try in your next project.

Aquafaba, made from organic chickpeas, nothing else

Aquafaba, the all-natural egg substitute, results from the broth of chickpeas (garbanzos) after the cooking process. Our Aquafaba is much different than what you may find at the bottom of a can of garbanzo beans, which is typically how it is retrieved for these purposes. It requires no reduction, as it is rich and thick from a 5- 6 hour slow bean cooking process.  It is the consistency of an egg with a gel-like emulsifying property to it. Once separated from the beans it is refrigerated and eventually frozen so that it can maintain an extended shelf life and can be thawed, used and reused as needed.
