MediFlax is comprised of dietary mucilage, which is a soluble fibre extracted from flaxseed that becomes thick and gelatinous when in contact with water.
It has the following properties:

Conventional (Non-GMO)

SesaFlax is made from roasted golden or brown flaxseed. The Prairie Tide proprietary roasting process gives this product a pleasant nutty flavour, and helps to make the seed more palatable. This product is a healthful alternative to roasted sesame seed as it contains higher amounts of omega-3s, lignans, and dietary fibre.

SesaFlax can be added to cereals, salads, and numerous types of baking, and it can also be ground and added to smoothies and protein drinks to enhance their nutritional value.

Flaxseed is one of the richest plant sources of the essential omega-3 fatty acids, and our flaxseed oil is cold-pressed to prevent any oil degradation during processing.

We offer conventional or premium flaxseed oil for human consumption with specific omega-3 content (between 55% and 68%). Essential fatty acids cannot be made by the human body, and must be consumed in the diet. Omega-3 in flaxseed oil is more accessible to the human body than omega-3 in milled or whole flaxseed. Omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation, and may also lower the risk of heart disease, cancer, and arthritis. Omega-3s are also highly concentrated in the brain, and they appear to play a role in memory and cognitive function.

Prairie Tide can source any available variety of Canadian grown flax seed. We source directly from the best growers, and can provide both organic or conventional flaxseed. Our seed is Non-GMO, Clean Label seed that is traceable directly back to the grower. All seed provided by Prairie Tide undergoes rigorous analysis before it reaches our customers to ensure we are providing only the very best seed available.

XanFlax is comprised of water soluble polysaccharides derived from flaxseed meal and is perfect for baking applications. Due to Prairie Tide’s proprietary manufacturing process, XanFlax is the strongest and most consistent flaxseed thickener available. Xanflax has the following properties:
Suitable replacement for xanthan gum, guar gum, Arabic gum, cornstarch, and flour.
Natural and non-fermented thickening agent.
Enhances texture and palatability of gluten-free food.
Can be used as an egg replacement.
Lowers cholesterol, blood triglycerides, and appetite.
